Picture Me in College

Hi My name is Cherish Varlack.

I live in Nashville, Tennessee

I am in the 6th Grade at IDEA Mission College Prep.  My favorite subject is English Language Arts. I am involved in the schools soccer team.  I also enjoy Technology.  Three words that describe me are: Weird, funny, and smart.

The person I admire most is Kenia because she knows what she wants and she knows how to get it. She’s not afraid to express how she feels.

If I could be anything I wanted to be, I would become a singer because singing is my passion.

When I go to college, I will study music.  I will attend Lee University.  I chose this college because I could get a good music major.   Something I think I will be challenging in college is handling family and school.

Something I think will be fun in college is having a room mate to be like a best friend.

After college I will take care of my family.

Cherish: Hey linda! Do you want to go see a movie?

Kenia: Sure!

(Scene changes to behind a movie theatre after 30 second pause)

Iesha: Hey Steffany! I brought the stuff.

Cherish: Good. I've been dying to smoke all week.

(Kenia gasps in surprise)

Cherish: Linda, do you want one?

Kenia: No thanks, I'll just drink my soda.

(Kenia runs away)

Mike: Drop the cigarettes! Your going to court!

Iesha: what i can't go to jail i can't even afford these ciggarettes!

Mike: Well you should have thought of that before you did the crime lady!

Kenia: I told him about you guys. I knew I never shold have trusted you.

Cherish: Well I learned not to trust people like you again. I don't want toget in troubl. Let me call my mom.

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It's almost certain you won't.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But soon or late the man who win,
Is the man who thinks he CAN.

To me this poem would be good for a person with low self-esteem. People with low self esteem look down on themselves. When I read this poem, I thought of them.
